the Kyoto Grand Hotel provides space for meetings and is 21 stories high. It also contains restaurants and a serene rooftop garden. For guests there are free shuttles.

Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple

The Higashi Honganji was built in 1976 under the Buddhist Churches of America. This temple is open to anyone after 10am regardless of race or ethnicity.

Japanese American Community Cultural Center- Japanese Garden

The JACCC was founded in 1980 and is the largest Japanese American Cultural center in the U.S. There are many civic and arts organizations at this center. It also serves as the cultural and community focal point of Japanese Americans throughout Southern California.

Ellison Onizuka monument- Weller Court

El Onizuka Memorial
This is a statue of the Space Shuttle Challenger.  On January 28, 1986, the Challenger exploded just 73 seconds after lifting off.  The 7 astronauts that made the shuttle crew died in the explosion.  This statue is part of the memorial to one of Challengers crew, Colonel Ellison S. Onizuka.  Ellison Onizuka was the first Asian-American to venture into space.  

Yagura- Japanese Village Plaza



original fire tower located in Little Tokyo built in 1978. It stands 60 feet tall and is located on the First Street entrance to the Village Plaza.
